Terra Browne
Navigate Project Associate
Terra Browne is passionate about equipping marginalized students with the knowledge and resources needed to access, navigate, and persist in higher education. She ultimately seeks to dismantle inequities in our education system and influence system change. Terra served as a Director of Campus Support at OneGoal – Houston before joining the Motivate Lab team as the Navigate Project Associate. Her career began through her affiliation with the College Advising Corps, where she worked to increase the number of first-generation college-going, low-income, and underrepresented students who apply, enter, and complete college.
Terra is a first-generation college graduate who earned her B.A. in Psychology and M.S. in Educational Psychology from Texas A&M University in 2011 and 2015.
Family and community are strong values of Terra. When she is not advocating for students, you can find her researching her lineage on Ancestry, cleaning up a family cemetery from the 19th century, and making memories with her husband and two girls.
